My younger sister asked me if I’d be willing to take pictures of their family since they hadn’t had any done since baby Alex was born. They came over to my house while they were in town visiting and we did a quick session before we lost Avery’s attention. That little girl has a wild streak but I do love her so! Alex was so ready for a nap, his little tired eyes said it all. Some sessions are just best when they are short and sweet!
behind the camera | we shot the outdoor portion in the shade so I had to push my iso more than I’d normally do in a daytime shoot and I had to warm up some of the shots a touch to correct skin tone, and do some overall sharpening. all pictures hand edited + mastin actions (portra) in photoshop acr. I could have warmed the pictures up more but here is my personal thoughts on that – when a picture is over-edited to the point where the light itself is altered then you lose the mood of the pictures. to brighten up the pictures or warm them up too much would lose some contrast, the dappling through the tree branches, and change the overall feel of where we actually were – the shade. session shot with Canon 5D III + 35L.
