I truly hope that these 8th grade sessions catch on. 8th grade it such a butterfly age – just getting past those few awkward years and emerging into beauty but not quite aware of it yet. Bre is so lovely and we had a fun time hanging out during the session. She has such a great smile that came so naturally. I’ve had the opportunity to see her blossom into a fine young lady and I can’t wait to see where life and God takes her. Get it girl, the world is at your fingertips!

behind the camera | session was at 2:00 pm so I had nice direct light to work with. Although diffused light is lovely to work with, I don’t hate shadows – they definitely have a place in my overall style. I like how shadows give photos dynamic and visual interest and use them to my advantage.  I searched for pockets of light to pose her in. Shot with a Canon 5D III + 85 1.8.
