I love these in-home newborn sessions. They have such a fulfilling vibe of what “life is right now”. It seems just like yesterday that I was here photographing baby Ainsley and now she’s such a sweet big sister! We were in no shortage of kisses for baby sister from big sister <3

What is lifestyle? I think you could probably get a different answer from any photographer. For me – lifestyle is the perfect in between of posed and documentary photography. Families get some guidance from me about what side to hold the baby on or where to stand but then I just allow the photograph to unfold as it naturally would. I encourage natural family interactions and then am ready with my camera when they occur.

I shot all of these images with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 35mm 1.4 lens. No flash for this one, lots of natural light in their living room.
