This family is so special to me and I was so incredibly happy to meet this sweet baby girl just a few short hours after she came earth side 🙂 Big sister was so curious about her new baby sister, lots of energy and giggles as we documented their first day of being a family of four!

I shot this Fresh 48 session with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 35mm 1.4 lens. I find this length is really ideal for me to work with in a hospital room. I’ve considered a 24mm but haven’t had a really compelling reason to buy one yet. No flash used, didn’t want to stress out the sweet baby and there was plenty of natural light to work with.
