This wedding was beautiful, classic and simple in all the best ways. I absolutely loved being there for their very special marriage ceremony. When Joan contacted me to be their wedding photographer, I was nervous. This would be my very first wedding by myself. After worked out the details, I was feeling more confident and by the time I met Joan and her family on the day of the wedding all the jitters were gone. I could not have asked for kinder or more genuine people to work with. I will forever look back on this wedding fondly. Joan is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met, I will always be so thankful for her putting faith in me. She was such a beautiful bride <3
I have to admit something and I kind of half laugh when I look back on these conversations – for the longest time, I said I would never photograph a wedding. I was quite adamant about it as well. I couldn’t even imagine if I messed up someone’s special day because I forgot (or botched) an important shot. That being said, I’m so happy that I took the leap of faith in myself and tried it. I can’t imagine not doing weddings now. Isn’t that so crazy? I like doing weddings a lot. It’s like putting together the ultimate story, and storytelling has always been one of my favorite things to do.
This wedding took place in Fall 2016. Probably that good old fear emotion holding me back but yes it’s taken me almost two years to figure out how I wanted to share these incredibly special days that I have spent documenting these weddings. Fear and indecision. I have the hardest time choosing my favorite images and I cannot thank my sister Mindy enough for going through my galleries to help me choose the best images. Going through hundreds of images to choose the best is really hard, I am so grateful for her expertise! <3
