This little girl’s momma is a good friend of mine and she is fabulously talented. Her creativity is out of this world and she creates beautiful scrapbook layouts. When she came up with this idea for the session, I was so excited to bring her vision to life. How adorable is this sweet little tea party? The perfect mix of dreamy and magical.

Q was the perfect little model, she needed very little prompting on my part for her three-year-old sweetness to shine through. I love that she danced through much of the session, with an appropriate twirl here and there. Details were important to me because littleness is so fleeting at this age. We ended the session with a super quick family portrait for their Christmas cards.

What a fun evening, not only is Q adorable but it was fun to spend some one-on-one time with her getting to know her personality. I was so grateful for the opportunity to create these images.

Behind the photos | I couldn’t have asked for more vibrant colors to work with for this session. Except for the removal of a cat tail (LOL) from the family portrait in Photoshop, I did very little post processing. Because of the amazing light, getting it right in-camera was a cinch and I only had to make a few minor tweaks in ACR for the final images. Truly the conditions were the perfect recipe for this shoot, I would bottle it up if I could! I shot this session with a Canon 5D III + 24-70L.
