A beautiful evening with such a fun family! This was a rare session where I literally could not stop smiling – these kiddos were so entertaining. This mama has an amazing family, it was truly a joy to take their family photos.

I shot this session with a Canon 5D Mark III, 50mm 1.2 lens and a Speedlite with a MagSphere flash diffuser. I’ve shot with this lens for a little over two years now – I don’t normally grab it for family sessions because it can be tricky to get sharp images. When it’s sharp it’s magic – when it’s not, well it’s blurry LOL. Since Anita’s kids are little older and I wasn’t going to be chasing little ones around, I took it with me since I knew I’d have more attention span to work with to compose my photos. Very happy that I chose this one, colors and sharpness were spot on.
