Cole won a giveaway for a session with me at the downtown Spring Art Walk. He initially talked about doing a couple’s portrait session though when we started scheduling the session, he told me that he wanted to surprise Tristen with a marriage proposal. He came by my house for a chat and we nailed down the details of his special surprise to make sure I didn’t miss the moment.
We met a local park, that unbeknownst to Tristen was very carefully planned out for the surprise. The weather was lovely. Cole’s one request was that the moment was intimate so I rented a long lens for the occasion. It was heavy…really, really heavy. I am extremely minimalist when it comes to my equipment so needless to say I was sweating from lugging the beast around. I wouldn’t have had it any other way though, moment captured and my job was done.
First surprise proposal in the books! I am impressed with Cole’s initiative to surprise Tristen with such a romantic gesture – it was incredibly sweet and they will remember this moment forever!
These two are a lovely couple, I wish them the best!
